What On Earth Is Inbound Marketing?

Moz and the entire Hubspot crew. In essence inbound marketing can basically be summed up as getting traffic from the search engines (SEO), from content (blog posts, articles, videos, infographics, white papers & webinars) and from social media (Twitter, Facebook, the Blogosphere, forums and social news sites). These are also know as “free traffic sources”. This graphic put together by the folks over at Moz is a great visual that shows you the many different types of inbound marketing tactics a marketer can leverage to generate the “free traffic” to their website. inbound-marketing Inbound marketing is a true online marketing strategy. It’s not just SEO, it’s not just link building, it’s not just social media or content marketing. It’s leveraging every source of visibility you can get to drive as much traffic as you can to your website. The most beautiful thing about inbound marketing is that traffic generated from inbound generally converts at a much higher rate than any offline or direct marketing efforts. This is because you’ve placed relevant content on sites where your potential customers are and when they find it, consume it, and realize they need your product or service, they are already half way sold before they even click the link to visit your site.
